Finally

OK, so I know I'm slow on the uptake sometimes but once I saw that almost every one of your guys' blogs had a song list I decided to venture out. Perhaps it took me a while because I rarely listen to music anymore except kids music and big J's piano playing. Shame on me! I do love to sing. And I do love music. In fact once I had made my list I realized that almost every song is, in some way or another, a love song. Perhaps I am a romantic after all. Don't tell J. Actually, I was thinking that several of the 'love' songs I chose are perhaps a little goofy. Just like one of my favorite genre of movies is romantic comedies, such as "Hitch" and "Wedding Singer". So, I may be a romantic, but I'm a HAPPY romantic, not a lovesick or hopelessly dramatic romantic. That makes me feel better. (So, the Cure songs may not strike the 'happy' tone quite so much, but still, I love Cure's instrumentalization (is that a word?) more than the words anyway). I was a little disappointed I couldn't find "Stick Shifts and Safety Belts" by Cake anywhere as that's one of our (J and I) fave songs. Any of you more savvy bloggers may be able to assist me in a quest for this one more 'goofy romantic' song. Yes, feel free to quote me on my new genre of 'goofy romantic' music and movies.
