Such Holiday Fun!!

Little A was so cute with Mr. Santa Clause. This year, being a little older and wiser, she had no problems hopping on his lap and telling him the first thing that came to her head to ask for, even though we'd rehearsed it for something else. Haha! It was really cute, she didn't even wait for him to ask, she just hops up and says with a smile, "a game!". After that all she could do was smile because her nerves mixed with her excitement pasted a sweet smile on her pretty face. Love her!

We've had incredible amounts of snow this year!! It's been so great. I use that in the past tense because now it's just cold and old snow is not so cool. But, here's the fun while it was still super fun! Sledding, buried up to our knees (and higher for A) in snow and B crashing into the snow on the slide at the playground. Snow fun!!

We were thinking this year would be the last year to be able to witness the Washington Cross reenactment since we'll be moving and all. If you don't know anything about this event, read 1776 by David McCullough which is a fantastic history book. Even though it was freezing outside, we bundled up, brought a blanket and hot cocoa and hoped to get to see the crossing. The boats made it across with no problems this year and we got up close to 'General Washington' as he passed by. (sometimes there's too much ice on the river to make a go of it) Our friend is a reenacter and she got to cross for the first time this year. How cool is that?!

Christmas fun! Little A being silly with her new viewfinder from her cousin. You may remember the game, Mousetrap, which the kids were excited to try out. Little A made the sweetest little Mary and J made a great Joseph. Sadly, we didn't get a pic of our angel B but if you want to see her in action just ask for the video. :)

We had lots of gingerbread fun this year! The kids each made their own 'gingerbread' house and we also had so much fun making a big one as a family at a friends house, which sadly we didn't take a pic of. Little A in the small pic is holding a candy cane moose that we made at our special Christmas themed music preschool class. She loved making it and was happy to also eat when we took the tree down!

Little miss B also finished up her gymnastics class in December. She took classes both spring and fall in 2010. She's taking a break this spring so she can do soccer (and because it's expensive!!) but she may start it back up once we move. She shows talent in it and is very strong and coordinated so we are happy to support her in these classes. We feel it will help her in long-term goals and have discipline, increase full body strength & flexibility and gain confidence in her abilities as well as a social aspect of taking a class with girls she wouldn't meet otherwise. Go B!! We love you!
